Battersea

Home to the iconic Battersea Power Station, the area has drastically changed from its late 18th century image as an industrial powerhouse...

Battersea residents can explore the endless array of shops and cafes that nearby Chelsea (a short walk across the river) has to offer, only to then retire to the tranquillity of Battersea Park. The park itself has an interesting history, originally the site of a duel in marshlands, before becoming the location of the Fun Fair and Gardens of the Festival of Britain in the 50’s and now a grade II listed park within the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.
