Nine Elms is one of London’s most significant regeneration areas, located on the South Bank of the River Thames. Once an industrial district, Nine Elms is rapidly transforming into a bustling residential and business area. Home to the new U.S. Embassy and the revitalised Battersea Power Station, Nine Elms is a promising, up-and-coming district with a bright future.
A growing array of amenities is emerging in Nine Elms. The area offers a variety of shopping options, from everyday essentials to luxury retail within the Battersea Power Station development. An exciting food scene is growing too, with a mix of stylish cafes, riverside restaurants, and local pubs. Several healthcare facilities are located in and around the area, and it’s served by a few schools with more expected as the district develops. Further education is also accessible, with the nearby University of the Arts London.
Nine Elms is fast becoming a hub of activity. The district is home to the new Sky Pool, a stunning outdoor swimming pool suspended between two apartment blocks. Nine Elms Lane offers a pleasant riverside walk, and the new Linear Park provides green space running through the district. For cultural activities, the Battersea Power Station hosts a range of events, and the nearby New Covent Garden Market is perfect for fresh produce.
Transport links in Nine Elms have significantly improved. The Northern Line extension has introduced two new tube stations: Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station, improving access to the city. There’s also the River Bus service from the Battersea Power Station Pier, and the area is well-served by local bus routes.
