Wapping provides a good range of local amenities. There are several convenience stores, independent shops, and a local market for everyday needs. The district is home to a variety of cosy pubs, such as the renowned Prospect of Whitby, along with a selection of riverside eateries and cafes.
The area has a number of healthcare facilities and is served by several good schools. The nearby Queen Mary University of London provides further education opportunities.

For history enthusiasts, the district offers the Tower of London and Tower Bridge just a short walk away, as well as the Wilton’s Music Hall, one of the oldest surviving grand music halls in the world.
Wapping has solid transport connections. Wapping Overground station provides easy access to other parts of London, while nearby Tower Gateway offers DLR services. The area is also served by several bus routes, and river services are available from the St Katharine Docks pier.
