Property Management

Property Management is a bit of a misnomer. Sure, we look after the property, but we do much more than that. We manage paperwork. We manage compliance. We manage an ever-changing legislative landscape.

But more than all of that, we manage people.

The tenant, the landlord, the contractors, the utility suppliers, the council, the neighbours – We’re people managers, first and foremost, and for a tenancy to be successful, the needs and wants of the people involved need to be carefully balanced and managed.

And we’re navigators. Managing a property is a journey shared by people with dreams and aspirations, with mortgages and responsibilities, with too much to do and too little time to do it. It’s our job to plot the course, keep the ship steady and make sure, as far as we can, that everyone enjoys the experience.

So, I’m not going to tell you about the things we do, because you know all of that already. Instead, I’m going to tell you how we do it, and how we help you navigate the journey.

To begin, at MyLondonHome, you don’t have a Property Manager, and a Tenancy Progressor, and a Maintenance Manager.

You have a Tenancy Manager. They’re the captain of your ship, and they are all of the above and more. From the moment an offer is agreed to the point your tenant moves out, your Tenancy Manager will be responsible for everything that happens at your property. Sure, they may have a crew helping them behind the scenes, but they will be your guide, and will make sure that everything that needs to be done is done. Well. Every time.

They’ll have access to the latest technology, so issues are managed quickly, professionally, and with as little impact on you as possible. They will have a support network, so no matter what challenges they face, the solution is at hand. They will be a constant companion, a reassuring presence and a steady hand.

They will make sure that everyone is on the same page. No unrealistic expectations. No broken promises. No surprises. They will communicate, prioritise, mediate and resolve. They will be firm, but fair. Process-driven, but flexible. Friendly, but not a friend. And their sole focus will be to ensure that when your journey is over, you ask us to take you again.
